For SOCCOMP - This is my STORY

Identity has been defined as people's concepts of who they are, of what sort of people they are, and how they relate to others. Moreover, it refers to the ways in which individuals and collectivities are distinguished in their social relations with other individuals and collectivities. With these statements, It is clear that there are many ways to define what identity is. In your own words, what is identity to you?

In my opinion, Identity is similar to a Developing Character of a story. You are either the Protagonist or the Antagonist. In other words, IMe, and You are the STORY. We create our own story. We are the developing character because as time progress we change. We change our preferences, likes, dislikes, etc. Moreover, we establish ourselves as a unique individual. We let our self be exposed to the real world thus enabling us to connect with our peers. We are either the protagonist or the antagonist because this is how people perceives us. We build our reputation on how we act around others. How people react to our behavior and actions thru conversation and sharing also known as "social exchange". This shows people who and what I am made of.

What is important is that we know who we are, what we are made of, and how we relate to others. We are unique individuals. Do not let other people define who you are. As I have said before, we are the developing characters. We are the STORY.

La Torre de Suso - Spanish Film Festival Entry

The Spanish Film Festival is the biggest showcase of Spanish cinema in South East Asia. 18 Spanish and Latin-American films comprise the lineup of this year's edition of Pelikula, organized by Instutito Cervantes. It is he;d at Greenbelt 3, Cinema 1. The festival is from October 1, 2008 up to October 12, 2008.

It was my first time to watch the Spanish Film Festival. It was also my first time to watch a foreign film in the big screen. I have watched several spanish films. The way they present their story is different from other films.

Anyway, right after the InDesign Seminar. Christine, Trix, Lu, and I decided to watch the Spanish Film Festival. We watched La Torre de Suso. We arrived late at Greenbelt! Hahahaha. The movie starts at 7:00pm. We got to Greenbelt around 7:30. Thank God there was seats available for us. We did not expect that it the place was full.

The movie was great! Hahahaha. I really like the story, the plot, and the actors. Some scenes were really hilarious. When Cundo head-butted Fernando. When Suso's mother commented that Cundo gained a lot of weight during the wake of Suso. Hahahaha. It was really a good movie! For some odd reason Christine cried while watching the movie. Awww. EMO Kid. Hahahaha. I can't wait to watch Los crimenes de Oxford.

with Trix and Lu

Trix, Christine, and Lu

I should really start watching this kind of films. Hahaha.

I am the Protagonist, Antagonist, and the developing character. This is my STORY.

I just read Mico's Blog. It was really nice. Hahahaha. I got inspired to write about my experience in Green & White and the Launch.

The Launch was a success. Finally! We were able to see and bring home the fruit of our labor. From Brainstorming, Layouting, Designing, Proof Reading, Editing, and Printing. FInally! Our "Baby" is born. I can't describe the bliss I felt when the yearbook was launched. Its weird because I already saw it a few weeks ago. But during the launch, I really felt Happy. Not because our work is done. But I was happy because people love what we have created. Seeing their happy face. I feel contended. It was worth it. Those sleepless night, caffeine addiction, and failing hard drives (as what Claud have mentioned, nasira yung hard drive nung nasa Davao sila during the final endrsement. They have to redo all the college dividers).

Green and White Layout Committee
(Not present were Jeatte and Louie)

To GNW08 Layout Committe - Ate Claud, Jessica, Jeatte, and Louie. Finally! Hahahaha. Our work is officially over. The Yearbook has been launched. The yearbook was a success. Hahahaha. No more sleepless overnight and Caffeine Addiction (Err, maybe for you guys pala. 09 layout staffer pa rin ako. Hahahaha). I will surely miss those days. Layout Overnight Sessions. Eli's Dance Videos, Graduates Layout etc. Hahahaha. And I will surely miss working with you guys. Wahh! Pressure for us 09 Layout People. Hahahaha. Funny. I won the Best Layout Staffer. Without you guys, I dont think will win it. We are all winners! We produced something worth bragging about. Hahahaha.

To GNW08. I will surely miss you guys (well for those na hindi na 09 members). Mooncake Festival, Mid-Year, Christmas Party, CJA, and Year-End. Such fun fun moments. Hahahaha.

Sango! The Japanese Burger Master

Ever since I saw Sango in Awesome Planet I can't help but crave for it. I have been planning to go there with my friends but it never seems to work. Finally! After weeks of planning I was able to try it out. My friend, Eugene, accompanied me to Sango. We kinda got lost at first eventually we were able to find it.

They sell different kinds of burger, typical American food, with something distinctively Japanese like teriyaki. It's really interesting and it is somewhat similar to Nomimono. Anyway, when you're in Sango there's plenty to keep you amused, especially if you’re a fan of all things Japanese. An LCD screen shows Japanese music videos. On the other side of the room is a shelf stacked with Japanese magazines and comics. Its really fun browsing Japanese graphic novels a.k.a MANGAS! hahahaha.

Itadakimasu!

Gochisosama deshita!

What's even more interesting is their bathroom. Hahahaha. Its so Japanese! Everything is automated. All in all, I had fun eating at Sango. Hahaha. Its cheap, it won’t even cost more than two hundred bucks. Ja Ne! Sango desu.
